Course Cancel
In rare circumstances, a student in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences may petition to have a course or courses removed (cancelled) from their record. This exception requires both College and University-level support in order to grant the exception. The College only considers requests that fall within the following criteria, and require supporting documentation:
- Student never attended course or submitted any coursework
- University error (such as enrollment in the wrong course)
- Advising error and subsequent enrollment error
If approved at all levels, this would result in the removal of the course or courses from a student’s transcript.
To pursue a request for this type of exception, complete a Fac Ex petition, marking the “Other” box, and indicating “cancel course” on the adjacent line.
