BA Language Requirement

There are many options available complete the BA Language Requirement. Some students may have to take less or no courses to fulfill the requirement. If you believe any of the options listed below apply to you, you can contact your academic advisor to begin the process. 

• The Kansas Seal of Biliteracy can count toward the requirement. Contact us for assistance with next steps.
• For languages taught at KU, the student should connect with the instructional department.
• For languages not taught at KU, students should contact us for available, if any, options. 
• For students who completed high school in a non-English language of instruction school, contact us.
• For AEC students, follow AEC policy, and you can contact us if you have questions.
